Happy New Year!

For the 20th year and counting, my family and I share with you our New Year welcoming. In 2003, a friend and fellow photographer asked me to capture the coming year in lights for our newspaper’s front page lead art. What began as a professional challenge evolved into a family tradition that we have maintained every year since.
As always, the bloopers are just as much a treasured part of our annual event as the winning shot, especially this year as 4-year-old Haisley Kimbrel marks her second year in the line-up - the same age as her mother Sarah Kimbrel was when this tradition began.
