The Bandera Electric Cooperative donated $6,000 to the Bandera Athletic Facilities Improvement Team (BAFIT) for a new inflatable bulldog run-through at Bandera High School. On Tuesday, Jan. 17, BEC representatives Toba Wright, Shane Schmidt and BJ Simpson presented the check to BISD Athletic Director Joel Fontenot-Amedee and BAFIT members Luis Moreno, Jeff Flowers, Ron Gherman and Nicole Flowers.
The previous inflatable, which Bandera Bulldogs have burst through onto the football field for the last 20 years, will have a second life as it gets passed down to Bandera Middle School.
Recently, the BEC Foundation donated $10,000 to the Bandera Little League for new playground equipment and improvements.
