Adversity was the name of the game, and our girls fought hard from the start of the first quarter to the sound of the last buzzer, but we were on the short end of a 19-17 decision.
We learned when things do not go our way, we can always count on our teammates. Each girl is starting to understand their role and to play for the good of the team, We are becoming more confident with the offensive side of the ball, where everyone is ready to take a shot.
Zoey Taylor led the Bandera scoring with 8, Briley Clark had 3 and Pyper Barnard, Kolbie Lawlis and Tahtiana Simpson scored two points each.
“B”
The “B” team is showing steady improvement even though we suffered a 16-13 loss.
Despite the loss, this was the best game the girls have played, attacking the basket multiple times resulting in five trips to the free throw line.
Blake Waid and Elizabeth Garcia-Medina were aggressive and attacked the basket, there was good rebounding by Ella Vollmer and major improvement from both Charlie Dean and Mia Ranly.
Boys
The Bulldogs hosted Uvalde and went 3-1 on the evening. All four teams will head to Carrizo Springs later this week.

moving the ball quickly down the court scoring five points in the first. The second quarter saw the
boys continue to have success on defense, forcing turnovers and out-rebounding Uvalde to take an 8-3 lead into the lockerroom at halftime.
