Bobcats earn Runner-Up Championship at Home Tournament
Medina Bobcat baseball earned big victories over the Leakey Eagles and Center Point Pirates to take Runner-Up honors at the annual Medina round-robin tournament this past weekend.
The Bobcats defeated the visiting Eagles by a score of 6-1 and the Center Point Pirates 10-3 for the wins.
“It was a good first week for us. We got to see some guys play some new positions and take care of business. I was really glad to see some of our young guys hit with confidence. Like every year, we’ve got some things we have to work on before district, but I think our guys are hungry and ready to put in the work to get where we want to go” said Bobcat Head Coach Bryce Sorbel.
The Bobcats will be back in action Friday afternoon in Knippa with a game time set for 4:30 p.m.
