With the goal of uniting small businesses and community members, local entrepreneur Sara Erfurt, of The Best of Bandera, has organized the inaugural Shop n’ Crawl. Set in the city limits, more than two dozen locally-owned businesses will be open on Thursday, March 23, from 4-8 p.m., for an evening of “shopping, sipping and eating.”
“Bandera is such a special place with that quintessential ‘small town’ appeal, and we have so much to offer! Bringing everyone out for an event like this is important to keep that sentiment preserved while also connecting the people of our town,” Erfurt, founder of The Best of Bandera, and owner of The Shops of Bandera, said. “After the last few years we’ve all had, it’s definitely a great time for some positive experiences!”
During the event, strollers may collect tickets from each place they stop for a chance to win a $500 cash prize at the end of the evening. The more stops made, the more tickets collected, the more chances to win. Tickets must be turned into The Shops of Bandera by 9 p.m. The drawing will be held at 9:30 p.m.
Participating vendors include The Shops of Bandera, Millie & Marie’s, The Dough Joe, Cedar Street Market, BTX/Walker Prints, Shotgun, Bonita Ranch, Hyo Silver, Coconut Cowboys, Bandera Office Supplies, The General Store, The Hen’s Nest, Maggie Mae & Nellie Rae’s, Texas Salt Co., TJ’s Old Forge, Mind Glow Coffee Co., The Marfe, Bandera Brewery, Custom Glass & Mirror, A Place to Stay Reservations, Bertie’s Dumpster, Demolition and Excavation, McMullan Insurance, Buddy’s Water Well, Texas Farm Bureau Insurance, Wander Inn Cabins, Allison May Massage, PAC Vote YES for Bandera, Silver Sage, 1st Rodeo Limo, Southwell Dirt Works, Hill Country Organics/WaterSmith Water and Wastewater Services/Bandera Hunts, Prairie Song and Elevated Skin by Ellena.
Erfurt said this will be the the first of four quarterly events. The next one is planned for July.
“We look forward to how these events grow into an attraction for our own locals and beyond,” Erfurt said. “We’re bringing out the Best of Bandera.”
