Plans are underway for Bandera’s first ever Easter Parade in City Park. Wear your bonnets with frills upon them before hippity hopping to the First Baptist Church Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8.
Spearheaded by Bandera General Store owners Glen and Marcia McComb, the free event is open to everyone. Registration will begin at 9 a.m., the parade will start at 10 a.m.
“Most activities [in Bandera] are geared toward tourists,” McComb told Bandera City Council members last Tuesday. “We discovered during the pandemic how much local residents contribute to the community.”
Awards for the best Easter bonnets and hats will be awarded during the parade, which will go on until noon. After, the First Baptist Church of Bandera will host an Easter Egg Hunt.
The parade is sponsored by The Bandera General Store, The Bandera County Chamber of Commerce, and the First Baptist Church of Bandera.
