Keep in Beat with the Bandera Library

By Mauri Guillén Fagan
Bandera Library Director

This Friday is our first ever Yoga with Care class on the back patio at 10:15 a.m. Yoga With Care is an outdoor yoga class gentle enough for all levels. After the class, enjoy some light refreshments and make your way up to the library to check out the library’s collection of yoga books and DVDs. It will be a perfect way to take advantage of the spring weather and enjoy some me time while giving your joints and muscles some TLC. Remember that self-care is never selfish.
Next Friday, March 31, at 5:30 p.m., is Family Movie Night. We roll out the big screen and projector onto the back patio and make enough popcorn to feed a small army. Come by with your kiddos to enjoy “Planes” and then stop into the Downstairs Meeting Room to test your paper airplane making skills.
Murder Mystery March is wrapping up – have you figured out who dun it? There are only four more clues remaining so check out the library’s social media on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday for the last bits of information. People who believe they know who the killer was should submit their answer to Brittany at [email protected]. Correct answers will be entered into a drawing for a prize and a gift certificate to the Bandera business of their choice. Help us catch the culprit!
March is also Texas History Month. The next time you are visiting the library be sure to stop by the Featured Books display to check out some great new Texas related titles. There are both fiction and non-fiction as well as books for all ages.
Saturday, April 1, is just around the corner. Stop by the library from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the Friends of the Library’s Monthly Book Fair. Tons of new and almost new books, magazines, DVDs, puzzles and CDs will be available by donation.
Bandera Kronkosky Public Library is open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Curbside service is still available for checkouts and business services. Free Wi-Fi is available 24/7. Stay up to date with library events by following us on Facebook (@BanderaLibrary), Instagram, TikTok (@banderalibrary), or sign up for our monthly newsletter through our website at www.banderalibrary.org.
