Learn about bees and beekeeping during Field Day set for May 6
Catch the buzz! Learn about bees on Saturday, May 6, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at The Hill Retreat and Event Center, 888 Mountain View Lane, Pipe Creek. Both the Alamo Area Beekeepers and Texas Hill Country Beekeepers Associations are hosting a free beekeeping field day.
Come listen to four awesome presentations on various aspects of beekeeping, bee friendly landscaping, fun with honey, and care of the wooden ware the bees live in. There will be bee business related vendors and a food truck.
Club members of the two associations will be picking up their “nuc’s” - basically a starter hive for their bee yards. So bees will be present but away from the presentation/vendor areas.
This is a great opportunity if you are even remotely interested in learning more about this awesome insect who is so important to our environment and food supply chain.
