Coffee and Cars Meetup proves popular at Lakehills coffee spot

Average Joe Coffee, a popular local Bandera County business located at 101 Center Street and FM 1283, hosted their first ever “Cars & Coffee” event, which attracted classic car enthusiasts, as well as some super-hot racing boats to this new community event.
Thirty-seven classic cars, trucks and boats were attracted to the free neighborhood meet-up hosted by Average Joe Coffee owner Annie Schultz.
“I wanted to show my appreciation to all my local Bandera County and Lakehills neighbors for their support over the last year as we have grown very popular here in Lakehills,” Schultz said. “In days past, neighbors used to cross lawns to visit with each other over coffee on the patio, at the kitchen table, wherever good conversation could be found, it was often found with a good cup of coffee and great people. Coffee is a friendly focal point in a neighborhood. I really wanted to bring that vibe and that feeling to our Bandera County neighborhood. I wanted some of our incredible and supportive neighbors to just walk and talk among the great cars, get to know each other, shake hands, all in a relaxed social environment. The classic cars took us back to a place and a time where we could just enjoy each other’s company and have a friendly chat. We should value that as a neighborhood family. That small-town country feel is what we value most in this area and we are hoping to foster that here at Average Joe.”
Average Joe Coffee is open weekdays, from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., and on Lakehills Farmer’s Market (a popular vendor and Farmer’s Market event) the second Saturday of each month.
