The Texas Master Naturalist, Hill Country Chapter continues to have in-person Monthly Chapter Meetings. Our next Chapter Meeting and Advanced Training session is open to the public and will be held on Monday, May 22.
Chris Distel will present “Hidden Marvels: The Amphibians of Texas.” Distel is a professor of biology and field station director at Schreiner University. His research and teaching in ecology and conservation span many groups of species, but he considers himself primarily a herpetologist. Many of his published experiments evaluate the effects of pesticides interacting with competition in amphibians.
This monthly chapter meeting and advanced training sessions are hybrid. This means you have the option to attend in-person at the Guadalupe Basin Natural Resources Center (GBNRC) in Kerrville, via Zoom, or live stream via Facebook.
Doors open at the Guadalupe Basin Natural Resources Center at 6 p.m. for snacks and socializing. A short business meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m., and the Advanced Training session is from 7:10 - 8:10 p.m. There is no cost to attend. The GBNRC is located at 125 Lehmann Drive, Suite 100 in Kerrville.
