Local runner moves to the next level

Bandera High School Senior Braden Cox recently signed his Letter of Intent with St. Edward's University to run cross-country and track.
Cox was a standout distance runner for the Bulldogs the last three years, leading the cross-country team to a District Championship in 2021 and three team state championship appearances.
Cox won the individual district championship in 2021 and 2022 and finished third in regional competition in 2022.
Cox also had a good track career at Bandera, winning the 1600M district championship in 2022, qualifying for the UIL State Track meet. He also qualified for region in the 3200M and 1600M in 2023, finishing with times of 4:28 in the 1600 and 10:05 in the 3200.
