Multiple people hospitalized, one fatality, in car accident

A one-vehicle accident in Pipe Creek sent multiple people to the hospital on Wednesday, July 12. There was one fatality reported.
At about 6:04 p.m. yesterday, authorities responded to a vehicle on fire at Hwy. 16 South near Hwy. 46. There were several occupants, two of whom were airlifted to area hospitals. One fatality was reported, who died at the hospital, according to Bandera County Chief Deputy Matt King.
The Pipe Creek, Castle Lake and Bandera Volunteer Fire Departments, DPS, Bandera County EMS and Bandera County Sheriff’s Office responded.
The investigation is being conducted by DPS.
