Bandera Electric Coop holds 2023 Board of Directors Election

The Bandera Electric Cooperative election is open through Aug. 11, at 11 a.m. Each member is entitled to vote for one candidate from each district.
Candidates are (in ballot order) District 1: Robert Aguirre, incumbent; District 2: Frances “Fran” Laue, incumbent, and Brittany Hicks; District 3: Jeffery “Jeff” Slocum, incumbent.
District 1 represents Pipe Creek and portions of the Medina Lake area; District 2 represents portions of the Bandera area; District 3 represents portions of the Bandera area and south Tarpley.
To cast a vote, go to https://www.directvote.net/BEC/app/ballot_page.aspx?Ballot=1 , log into the myBEC app, or log into your myBEC account and click on the Vote Now button. To vote by mail, paper ballots should arrive in the mail this week.
Candidate information and bios are available on the online ballot and in your mail-in ballot.

Results will be announced at the annual meeting on Saturday, Aug. 12, at Ridin' the River Cowboy Fellowship, 5767 HWY 173 N, Bandera. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. for registration, and the meeting will begin promptly at 10 a.m. Any member who attends the meeting in person will be eligible to win a prize. For those who cannot attend in person, livestreaming will be available via Facebook or YouTube.
