Medina high school sports had a week of winning during the week of Sept. 3 through 9. Volleyball defeated Center Point and LaPryor in straight sets to go 2 and 0 for the week. Junior Varsity volleyball added in their own wins versus both opponents.
“This season has really put things in perspective for me,” Junior Brooke Mancha said on the wins. “We have a really good group of girls and I am excited to see how far we can go.”
Bobcat football traveled to Kerrville to take on the Hawks from OLH on Friday, Sept. 8. The Bobcats scored early and often to defeat the Hawks by mercy rule at halftime by a score of 57 to 0.
In addition, Medina cross country had a successful week competing in the Jacob Krebs Invitational meet in Harper on Wednesday.
“I’m proud of how our kids are performing. This was race number two of this year and we are posting better times than at this point last season,” Coach Chris Pace said. “Our kids want it and they prove that day in and day out.”
Ahnika Grassie medaled with a 17th place finish in the girl’s division with Rylan Mills and Brandon Harms placing 11th and 19th, respectively, in the boy’s division.
