Texas A&M AgriLife Extension hosts Hill Country Beef & Range Field Day
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension is hosting an educational program for cattlemen, The Hill Country Beef & Range Field Day on Oct. 3, at the Bandera County Junior Livestock Show Mansfield Park Show Barn.
The program begins at 8 a.m., and continues until 4 p.m. Lunch will be served. Information will be presented on nutrition and backgrounding, selecting replacement heifers, and herd health maintenance.
Additionally, the program will include range/ pasture management topics to include chemical weed and brush control, and grazing schemes. Two general CEUs will be offered.
The event is being hosted by Bandera, Kerr and Real County AgriLife Extension offices. There is a $20 program fee; register with Mark Zoeller, at 830-796-7755. The Bandera office is at 2886 Hwy. 16 N., Bandera.
