League of Women Voters sets October meeting

The League of Women Voters of the Hill Country Texas scheduled a meeting in Johnson City on Saturday, Oct. 7.
"VOTER 101" will be the program presented by Heather Farmer. Information on the specifics and mechanics of voting, the changes in voting laws, details on the November election on proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution, and the tools and resources to help make a plan to vote will be part of the presentation.
The meeting will be in the Community Meeting Room at the Johnson City Public Library, 501 North Nugent Avenue. League meetings are open to the public. Visitors are welcome and there is no charge to attend. Social gathering time begins at 9:30 a.m., with an opportunity to meet members and other interested individuals attending. The business meeting and the program begin at 10 a.m.

League of Women Voters of the Hill Country Texas has more than 40 years of work focused on registering citizens to vote, informing voters on candidates and issues, and encouraging citizens to vote.
