Bandera Paint & Body offers 15-percent discount to veterans and active-duty military

After nearly losing their son in a devastating car accident almost two years ago, Cynthia and Mark Friederich’s world came to a halt. In a rush to Brooke Army Medical Center, a litany of critical injuries was revealed, which doctors worked frantically to control, and keep him alive. Today, in gratitude for the outpouring of compassion and support they received from the BAMC military community, the Friederichs want to give back.
“On Dec. 3, 2021, our lives were changed forever, when my 24-year-old son was involved in a head-on collision. He was airlifted to BAMC that night, and began his fight for life,” Cynthia Friederich said.
His injuries included a ruptured spleen, broken neck, snapped left femur, broken tibia and fibula on his right leg, destroyed right ankle, both ACLs were torn, both arms were fractured, as well as a brain bleed.
“He made it through that night with a lot of prayers and a sheer will to live,” she said. “Although my son is not in the military, the amount of support he received from this wonderful group of folks has been humbling. He has since lost his right leg. Being a young amputee has its own challenges, but once again, his military family have embraced him and motivated him to understand that an amputation is not the end of the world, but in many ways, a new beginning.”
In a gesture of thanks to the many people who extended their hands during their greatest time of need, the Friederichs want to reach out, too.
“To give back to this wonderful community, we at Bandera Paint & Body are offering a 15-percent discount to veterans and active-duty military to go towards their deductible,” Friederich said.
