District judge sentences Bandera man to 50 years in prison

A Bandera man was sentenced to 50 years in prison after his conviction for possession of methamphetamine.
Brandon Saunders stood before 216th District Judge Albert Pattillo last Wednesday, after a jury found him guilty of drug possession. District Attorney Stephen Harpold said because of Saunders’ previous record, the minimum sentencing was 25 years, and the maximum was 99 years to life.
Saunders was arrested July 14, 2022, for possession of methamphetamine, 1.23 grams, according to the Bandera County Sheriff's Office. Harpold said there was no possibility of parole included.
