The Bandera High School Star Steppers had their collective performance of a lifetime yesterday, dancing in Herald Square during Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The team of 12 arrived in New York City last Saturday after performing in the Bulldogs’ final game of their historic season, and launched days of four-hour practices with The Spirit of America Dance Stars, which represented dance teams from all 50 U.S. states.
They started their day at 5 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day, before beginning their two-and-a-half mile march in the parade, toward their performance in front of the Macy’s flagship department store.
The Star Steppers will take in some extra sights and shows before heading back to Bandera this weekend.
