The latest at the Bandera Library

Please join the Board of your library in wishing the very best to Mauri Guillén Fagan as she leaves us for another leadership position in Bandera. You are invited to stop by the Library on Thursday, Jan. 11, from 1 - 3 p.m., to celebrate her accomplishments and contributions to the library and bid her farewell.
During her tenure, she successfully guided the library through the Covid pandemic, instituted several new services and programs for patrons of all ages, and has led the library in adapting to the changing and growing needs of Bandera County residents. Her last official day at the library will be Jan. 12, but we hope to see her around often.
In other big news, the library will be getting a new roof! After 90-plus years of Texas heat, hail and general hootenanny, it’s high time to replace it. Construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, Jan. 22, and is expected to last about three weeks. As with any big project, things can take longer than we hope. During the roof installation, parking will be limited at the library. If you have any trouble getting into the building to drop off or pick up books, please call the library and a staff member can come out and meet you. We thank you for your patience and understanding during construction.
Bandera Kronkosky Public Library is open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Curbside service is available upon request. Free Wi-Fi is available 24/7. Stay up to date with library events by following us on social media (@BanderaLibrary), or sign up for our monthly newsletter through our website at www.banderalibrary.org.
