The arctic cold front has arrived

According to the National Weather Service, the bitterly cold airmass is forecast to stay through Wednesday morning. Expect long periods of hard freezes and very dangerous wind chill indices, as well as a potential for light accumulations of freezing rain/sleet. The main hazard will be residual icy spots on roadways.
The NWS further reported the forecast is expected to evolve as the front lingers. Take care now to provide shelter for pets, as well as protect exposed pipes and plants.
