Senior Citizen Appreciation Day set for April 2, Senior Food Pantry April 11
On April 2, Alamo RC&D, Senior Assistance Program, will sponsor Senior Citizen Appreciation Day at the The Way Church fellowship hall, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There will be a free catered lunch for Bandera County seniors age 55 and up. They will offer bingo with prizes, birthday celebrations, door prizes and a raffle. Participants must be registered for 2024. Please RSVP by March 30.
The next Senior Food Pantry food distribution will take place Thursday, April 11, from noon to 1:30 p.m., at The Way Church, 7789 FM 1283.
Applicants must be 55+ and reside in Bandera County. Applicants can register at the door, or ahead of time online at the website; a new 2024 registration is required, good for the whole year.
Covid-19 rules apply. First come, first served and supplies are limited. Each applicant must pick up their own, if board permission is not provided.
Alamo RC&D seeks monetary donations for the purchase of food. Donors can help on the website: alamorcd.org. The organization is a 501(c)3 non-profit so all donations are tax deductible.
