This month at the Medina Library
The library will be closed Monday, April 8, due to the eclipse.
This month’s library events include:
~ The Medina Book Club will meet Tuesday, April 8, at 2 p.m., to discuss The Nurse’s Secret.
~ Family Fun Day - playdoh station and build a train track, Friday, April 11, at 4 p.m.
~ MISD Art Show, Monday, April 11, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
~ Earth Day Crafts, Monday, April 22, 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
~ Big Kids Story Time - Tuesdays, April 23 and 30, at 10:30 a.m.
~ Bandera Recycles - Trash to Treasures, Thursday, April 25, at 4 p.m.
~ Astronomy Club, Thursday, April 25, at 7 p.m.
Programs provided by patrons include:
~ Faith & Freedom Club - Tuesday, April 9, at 3 p.m. Randy and Gini Owens of Bandera, parents of Jessica Wittner, a new NASA astronaut, will share her story. For more information, text or call Vicki at 830-955-0960.
~ Life Happens presents Stop the Bleed, a course taught by EMT and certified Stop the Bleed instructor Lee Bailey, Monday, April 15, 2 - 5 p.m.
Other regular weekly events include Chair Yoga, Thursday at 1:15 p.m.; Gentle Yoga, every Tuesday at 9 a.m.; and story time for the little ones on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. (no story time on April 17).

Free notary services are available, Monday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The library’s mission is to provide access to the world of ideas and promote life-long learning. It also functions as a community hub—a place for the increasingly diverse population of western Bandera County to come together to share ideas, information, knowledge and experience.
In addition to occasional special public programs the library itself sponsors relating to topics of local interest (past programs have ranged from archaeology to digital photography to rainwater harvesting), it also hosts a variety of meetings, events and activities sponsored by other community groups.
