The library will be closed Saturday, May 11, for the Street Sale; and Monday, May 27, for Memorial Day.
Books, DVDs, audio books and puzzles will be for sale May 1-10.
The Mad Science Show summer reading kick-off will be Thursday, May 30.

~ The Medina Book Club will meet Tuesday, May 14, at 2 p.m., to discuss The Train to Crystal City.
~ Make Spring flower jars, Wednesday, May 15, at 11:30 a.m. Call the library to sign up.
~ Big Kids Story Time, Tuesday, May 21, at 10:30 a.m.
~ Patriotic Wreath Class, Wednesday, May 23, at 11 a.m. Sign up at the library.
~ Astronomy Club, Tuesday, May 30, at 7 p.m.
~ Ocelots: Movie, guest speaker and activities. Wednesday, May 31, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

~ Natural Remedies Class: Stockpiling your survival medicine cabinet, Monday, May 6, 2-4 p.m.
~ Faith & Freedom Club - Monday, May 13. Well-known artist Steve Pietzsch will share his art and journey that led him to Medina. Reception at 3 p.m.; program 4-5:30 p.m. For more information, text or call Vicki at 830-955-0960.
Other regular weekly events include Chair Yoga, Thursday at 1:15 p.m.; Gentle Yoga, every Tuesday at 9 a.m.; and story time for the little ones on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. (no story time on April 17).

The library’s mission is to provide access to the world of ideas and promote life-long learning. It also functions as a community hub—a place for the increasingly diverse population of western Bandera County to come together to share ideas, information, knowledge and experience.
In addition to occasional special public programs the library itself sponsors relating to topics of local interest (past programs have ranged from archaeology to digital photography to rainwater harvesting), it also hosts a variety of meetings, events and activities sponsored by other community groups.
