Fundraiser set to benefit Saving Shelter Strays
The Freedom Ride on the Fireplug Freeway fundraiser will be held Saturday, May 11, from 2-5 p.m., at the Bandera Brewery. Events include live music, the Show and Shine Open Car Show and unique silent auction items. All proceeds will go to the homeless pets in Bandera County.
Silent auction items include a handmade rocker, a two-night stay at a private, mid-century house in Fredericksburg, and dinner for four at The Laurel Tree in Utopia.
Saving Shelter Strays is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization, dedicated to the care and rehoming of shelter dogs in Texas. Saving Shelter Strays recently teamed up with the Pipe Creek Animal Clinic and held its second Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) event for Bandera residents. To date, 136 feral and porch cats have been fixed through the program.
