By Rebecca Norton
Executive Director, Frontier Times Museum
Snakes galore will be at the Frontier Times Museum’s Reptile Day on Saturday, May 18. The museum welcomes expert snake handler Carl Person, from the Hill Country Reptile Gardens, as he presents Rattlesnakes 101 – Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Rattlesnakes.
Not only will you learn about rattlesnakes, but Person will also give information about you should do if you ever come in contact with these native snakes of Texas.
Along with real rattlesnakes, Person will show off a cottonmouth viper and a cobra, along with a python that will be available to hold and take a selfie with. The program will be start at 1 p.m., on the museum grounds, and is free with museum admission.
The Frontier Times Museum is at 510 13th Street, Bandera. For more information, go to www.frontiertimesmuseum.org or call 830-796-3864.
