After a six-month search, authorities have apprehended a woman who is wanted in connection with the murder of Bandera man Robert Isaacks.
Freda Thomas was arrested in Oklahoma on Monday, May 20. She was taken into custody without incident in Okmulgee, Okla., according to the Bandera County Sheriff’s Office, which is working on her extradition to Bandera County on a warrant issued for her in 2023.
In April, local investigators received false information that Thomas had been arrested in Mexico, sending authorities on an international wild goose chase before discovering that the woman in custody was not Thomas.
Isaacks, 88, was reported missing on Nov. 15, 2023. His body was recovered two days later in Crockett County. Authorities said Isaacks’ Jeep was found abandoned in Las Vegas.
