A 22-year-old San Antonio man died Friday night after he was bucked off a bull during the Riding on Faith Summer Series Rodeo, held at Mansfield Park in Bandera.
According to Bandera County Chief Deputy Matt King, after the bullrider was bucked off, he fell to the ground and the bull landed on his neck. The rider was able to walk out of the arena, King said, but collapsed soon after.
“EMS started CPR immediately,” King said.
Justice of the Peace Mike Towers pronounced him dead at the scene.
